AREA, in conjunction with Emerald Transformer, has scheduled Regulator Training at AREA in 2023. Topics will include: History of electricity and why we need voltage regulation, components overview, reading a nameplate, a demonstration on how regulators work, controls overview, programming panels, safety best practices for putting in service and removing from service, what parts wear out and why, and setting up a maintenance program. Class will include a hands-on demonstration and will cover Siemens, GE and Cooper regulators.
