December 9, 2020 – Motivating Employees (Resource104) – 1 day/1 credit
A key tool that is paramount to effective leadership and team membership is the ability to motivate people. While all individuals are different, some common elements are applicable to all individuals. In this one-day session, participants will learn the concepts of motivation through discussions, group exercises and team valuing concepts. This course is a must for all employees for greater understanding of themselves, their co-workers and for the good of their organization. In this course participants will:
--Define motivation
--Identify the three motives for doing anything
--Describe theories of motivation
--Identify factors that can lead to employee demotivation
--Understand how delegation can be effectively used to motivate
--Trust as a motivator
--Two important things all employees want to know
--Performance management and motivation
--Team-building as a supporting motivator
--Serving leadership as a motivator
--Developing a back-at-work plan to motivate yourself and others
