This course revisits the fundamentals of governance and the roles policies play in contributing to effective governance. Participants take part in discussions about current issues facing rural electric cooperatives and how the governance function contributes to the cooperative and adds value. As these issues are discussed and debated, a sample set of policies are used to show examples of policies relevant to addressing today’s governance issues.
