Foreman's Academy (Track 2)

Dates: Oct 24 - 27, 2016   2016-10-24 2016-10-27 America/Chicago Foreman's Academy (Track 2) AREA, in conjunction with TVPPA, offers the Foreman Academy curriculum. Designed with input from a committee made up of member representatives, this course of study is intended to provide line crew foremen with knowledge and skills outside the scope of fundamental linework. This will allow them to be more effective leaders and supervisors as well as help them understand their role and responsibilities of their job within the utility. The Foreman Academy will consist of one week of classes covering three categories: leadership skills, safety and technical skills and management skills. Participants will receive a certificate showing completion of each week-long series. For overall completion of the Foreman Academy program, participants must complete three tracks or three years worth of study. An over-all completion certificate will be issued after completion of all three tracks. This multi-level program will allow for progression and continuing education.
